A DWI conviction can seriously impact the rest of your life because it will be a conviction on your record for the rest of your life. There is no law by which it drops off after ten years or any period of time. That DWI will be on your record for the rest of your life.
That means it going to affect you whenever you’re looking for jobs or if the employer is looking to check into whether you should be able to drive company cars or not. It’s also going to affect you every time you get pulled over by the police for the slightest little traffic violation. They’re going to see that on your driving record and they’re going to wonder if you’ve been drinking again. They’re going to get in your face and try to smell your breath and look at your eyes and see if they’re red. And if they think you’ve had something to drink, you’re going to get arrested even if you could pass all of those roadside Olympics.
