Bluebonnet Place In A Brief

Bluebonnet Place is a neighborhood in downtown Fort Worth. Bluebonnet Circle Park sits at its southern edge. There are no parks inside of the Bluebonnet Place boundaries. However, Worth Hills Park is a short distance to the east along Benbrook Boulevard.

Benbrook Boulevard passes through the southern end of the community. Park Ridge Boulevard marks its southern boundary. Berry Street is the northern edge of the neighborhood. University Drive is the western border. Merida Avenue is generally regarded to be eastern edge of Bluebonnet Place. That puts the Fort Worth Professional Development Center on Sandage Avenue one block to the east of Bluebonnet Place.

This neighborhood sits just south of TCU. For example, the TCU Campus Store and its bookstore are directly across from the northern edge of Bluebonnet Place. This puts residents of Bluebonnet Place in walking distance of TCU, especially the nursing school and business program’s main buildings.

This densely built-up residential neighborhood has a walk score of 78. That’s very good. The public transit score is surprisingly low, coming in at 32. The bike score is 63, mainly due to the bike paths linking it to the TCU campus. The neighborhood is arguably more pedestrian friendly at the northern and southern ends, since that’s where most of the restaurants and retail are located. You’ll need to walk, bike or drive to the bus stops along South University Drive.

Many Bluebonnet Place residents send their kids to WP McLean Middle School. Some children are assigned to Alice Contreras Elementary and Rosemont Sixth Grade. The local high school is R. L. Paschal High School.

The Bluebonnet Hills neighborhood is located to the west of Bluebonnet Place. University Place and Frisco Heights are to the north. Shaw Clarke and Ryan Hill are located to the east. You can take Cleburne Road to Eighth Avenue to reach the Fort Worth medical district.
