Crestline Area In A Brief

The Crestline area includes a large area on the north side of Camp Bowie road. Byers Avenue marks the southern end of this neighborhood. Rivercrest Drive is generally seen as the eastern boundary of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is named for Crestline Road which is a major northeast to southwest artery through the middle of the neighborhood. It also acts as an informal divider between the 500K properties and 5 million dollar homes. The latter are closer to River Crest Country Club.

The Crestline neighborhood stretches to the banks of the West Fork of the Trinity River. Riverbend is located on the opposite side of the river. Arlington Heights is sandwiched between Crestline and Interstate 30. If you take Merrick Street north past the edge of the Crestline Neighborhood, you’ll be in the Burton Trails / Trinity Trails area.

Sanguinet Park is two blocks south of the Crestline neighborhood. Roaring Park is located in the nearby Westover neighborhood. Residents can reach that by taking Byers Avenue west for several blocks.

The closest public school to Crestline is Boulevard Heights. It is a public K-12 school for children with various mental handicaps. The Boulevard Heights Transition Center is next door to it. They are located on the 5100 block of El Campo Avenue.

Take Camp Bowie Boulevard northwest to Lancaster Avenue, and you’re officially in Fort Worth’s cultural district. That also takes you to the massive Trinity Park. WC Stripling Middle School is located off Clover Lane. Go two to three blocks south, and you reach South HI Mount Elementary School. It educates children from pre-K through fifth grade. Both WC Stripling and South HI Mount are average public schools.

The Texas Academy of Biomedical is also located in Arlington Heights, and many of the high school students graduate with an associate’s degree in nursing, pre-med, or another life sciences certification. It is a top-rated magnet school.

Crestline received an average walk score of 62, though the score is higher if you’re closer to Camp Bowie and its amenities. It has some public transit, again, mostly along Camp Bowie. It ranks slightly better than average for bicyclists, since it has some bike lanes.
