Located in the Cultural District of Fort Worth, Texas, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is dedicated to the presentation and preservation of contemporary and modern art. The Museum is a member of the National Association of Museums and the American Art Alliance.

The museum features a permanent collection that features works by international artists. They also host lectures and educational programs. They also have a cafe and gift shop. International Arts Collection

Maria Elena Ortiz has previously worked at the Perez Art Museum in Miami and has been involved in a number of exhibitions. Ortiz also has experience in organizing exhibitions for the American Echo Chamber.

Special Exhibitions

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth also has special exhibitions this 2023. On February 12—April 30, 2023, the museum will present “I’ll Be Your Mirror: Art and the Digital Screen”, a group exhibition that explores the vast impact of the screen on art from 1969 to the present. To be featured in this exhibition are more than sixty works by fifty different artists over the past five decades.

Iconic works by well-known 20th and 21st century national and international artists like Cory Arcangel, American Artist, Gretchen Bender, Lynn Hershman Leeson, Arthur Jafa, Nam June Paik, Hito Steyerl, and Andy Warhol, will be hosted in this more than 25,000 square feet of gallery space.

Also hosted in this gallery are works of several leading artists from Texas, including Liss LaFleur, Kristin Lucas, and John Pomara. This is Southwest’s most in-depth show of its kind and only one of a few presentations exploring art and digital technology in the past decade. The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is in charge of organizing the exhibition and is curated by Curator Alison Hearst.
